Did you read about the visit to the Italian restaurant that my husband and I went to last year? The one where Sergio recommended a bit of honey on my gorgonzola pizza, remember? http://exercisingfoodies.com/2018/02/03/pizza-for-foodies/
The other day I had some left-over penne and suddenly remembered the honey suggestion from last year.
I didn’t have gorgonzola at home, but I did have Blue Cheese.
Instant foodgasm!
And I have a new recipe.
Penne
Olive Oil
Blue Cheese
Black Pepper
Raw Honey
Boil penne until it’s al dente and drain.
Add crumbled blue cheese when it’s still hot and stir until the cheese melts a bit. Add some black pepper.
Drizzle olive oil over it, add just a little bit of raw honey then either stir or click tiny drips of it on top of the pasta. I suggest just a little at the time to see how it tastes, the cheese should dominate and the sweet honey brings out the flavor.
